Websites for local business

Storefront

Seven days  ·  From $399  ·  We keep it running

Your best customers are already looking for you. They're finding nothing.

You do good work and the phone still rings. But every year more of your town starts on a screen — and a business with no website looks, to a stranger, like a business that closed.

No card, no obligation. Tell us about the shop and we'll come back with a price.

We take a few at a time. We build a small number of sites at once so each one gets finished properly. Tell us about your shop and we'll tell you what it would cost.

The gap

What "no website" actually costs you

None of this is about being online for its own sake. It's about the three moments where a customer decides between you and the other guy.

They can't check you out

Someone gets your name from a neighbour, searches it, and finds a map pin with two reviews. No prices, no photos, no proof you're real. They call the business that has all three.

You answer the same questions all day

Hours. Service area. Do you do that? What does it cost, roughly? Every one of those is a call you take instead of working — and a page could have answered it at 11pm.

A rented page isn't yours

A social profile is a good front window. It's a bad front door. You don't control it, you can't be found on it by someone who doesn't already know your name, and it can vanish without notice.

What you get

A real site. Not a template with your logo dropped in.

The pages you actually need
Home, services, about, contact — plus whatever your trade needs: a menu, a gallery, a price list, an area map. One page on Basic, up to ten on Premium.
Written for you
We interview you for forty minutes and write the words ourselves. You approve them. No blank boxes waiting for you to fill in.
Your photos, made usable
Send what's on your phone. We crop, colour-correct and size it. If you have nothing, we'll tell you the six shots to take.
Works on a phone first
Most of your customers will only ever see it on a phone. Tap-to-call, tap-for-directions, loads on bad signal.
Found in your town
Proper page titles, your address and hours marked up so search engines and maps read them, and your Google Business Profile tidied up and linked.
A contact form that reaches you
Enquiries land in your email and, if you want, as a text. Nobody has to remember a login.
Domain, hosting, certificate
We buy it, set it up, renew it and keep the padlock green. You never see a hosting control panel.
Someone to call
Prices changed, new van, you're closed the week of the fair — email us and it's done, usually same day.

How it works

Four steps. Two of them are yours, and both are short.

1
Day 0 · 40 min

We talk, once

On the phone or at your counter. What you do, who calls you, what you want more of, what you never want to do again. That's the whole brief.

2
Day 3

You see it, not a mock-up

A working site at a private link, on your phone. Real words, real photos. You send notes in whatever form suits you — a voice memo is fine.

3
Day 7

One round of changes

We make the changes and show you again. Most people have two or three. If you have thirty, we'll still do them.

4
Day 10

It goes live — and stays that way

We point your domain, submit you to Google and Apple Maps, and check it every week from then on. Changes after this are included; just email.

Price

Three ways in. You own the site either way.

Written down, in public, before you talk to anyone. Nothing is billed until you've seen the site and said yes.

  • All the writing done for you
  • Photo gallery
  • Google Business Profile claimed and set up

Fit

We're not right for everyone, and it's cheaper to say so now

Built for

  • Trades and home services — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, landscaping
  • Shops, cafes, restaurants and food trucks with no site or a dead one
  • Barbers, salons, studios, gyms and clinics running on word of mouth
  • Auto repair, detailing, towing, small engine, marine
  • Anyone whose "website" is currently a social page or a directory listing

Not built for

  • Online stores with real inventory, payments and shipping
  • Booking systems, patient portals, member logins, custom software
  • Multi-location chains needing separate sites per branch
  • Anyone who wants a redesign of a site that already works fine
  • Businesses looking for ad campaigns — we don't sell those

Get a price

Tell us about the shop. We'll send you a price.

Takes about a minute. We come back the same working day with a price and a note on what we'd build for you.

Tell us what the business is called.

That address doesn't look right.

Check that number.

Pick the closest one.

Got it.

We'll come back to you within one working day with a price and a couple of questions. Nothing else to do for now.

PREVIEW — no form endpoint is connected yet, so nothing was sent anywhere. See the setup note in the project README to switch this on.

Questions

The ones people actually ask

I already have a Facebook page. Isn't that enough?

It's a good front window and you should keep it. But someone who doesn't already know your name won't find you there, you can't put a real price list or service area on it, and you don't own it. A website is the thing you control and can point everything else at.

I don't have any photos.

Most people don't, and it's fine. We'll send you a list of six shots to take on your phone — the van, the shopfront, you, a finished job, the tools, the sign. That's usually enough. If your trade needs better than that, we'll tell you straight.

Do I own the site?

Yes. You pay once and the site is yours. The domain is registered in your name from day one, not ours — so if you ever want to walk away, you take the address with you. The $49 a month is for hosting and upkeep, not for the site itself.

What happens if I stop paying the $49?

We stop hosting it, so the site goes offline — and the domain stays yours to point anywhere you like. We'd rather say that plainly now than have it be a surprise. There's no contract and no cancellation fee.

Are you going to try to sell me SEO or ads?

No. The basics that help you get found locally are in the price already. We don't run ad campaigns, we don't have a retainer to upsell you, and if you need that later we'll point you at someone who does it properly.

How long does it really take?

Seven business days from the intake call, five on Premium, assuming you get back to us on the review. The part that slows it down is almost always waiting on photos or approval, not the building.

What happens after I send the form?

You get an email back within one working day with a price and a short list of what we'd need from you. If it looks right, we book a fifteen-minute intake call and start. No obligation at any point before that.
